Started by my wife and I in 2019, we are barbecue enthusiasts and experienced competition judges. We set up CompBBQUK to do what he could to spread the word of competitive barbecue.
Originally conceived as a result of us struggling to find information about the world of UK competitive barbecue. He wanted to create a place where people could come and find all the information they needed. That then developed in to an organisation actively looking to encourage and increase participation in competition barbecue. We have now moved in to competition organising and sanctioning. Our first self organised contest in 2023 saw ten teams competing over two days at Valley Fest near Bristol, 2024 will see two more of our self organised contests and involvement in others.

CompBBQUKs' sole aim is to support and promote competitive barbecue in the UK, UK based teams and judges, through information sharing, active promotion and events.
We are barbecue enthusiasts and active members of the competitive barbecue community. We want as many people as possible to be interested in and as enthusiastic as us.
